Attea Middle School

William J. Attea Middle School opened its doors to students from the Glenview Community in the fall of 2003. The school was built in response to growing enrollment numbers in District 34. It was designed and built on a true middle school platform allowing for easy application of the school-within-a-school concept in both philosophy and physicality. The school’s namesake, Dr. Bill Attea, is a former superintendent of School District 34.

Students at Attea Middle School are provided a small interdisciplinary team structure and a grade level area within the building. Teacher teams meet daily to discuss the students on their teams and coordinate curriculum, assignments, projects and schedules. These daily meetings aid teachers in being able to identify student strengths and limitations regarding their learning and to develop strategies to address those needs. Our belief: All students can learn!

District 34 and Attea Middle School are committed to the students and parents of Glenview. All of our students will achieve at high levels and will be prepared for their journey into high school and beyond.
